I am a horrible blogger. Let’s just put that out there right now. It’s been over a month since I last posted.
Anyhoo, this post has a point. I saw it about 10 days ago. Two words.
Captain America.
Yep, that about sums it up. What can I say? I LOVED this movie!

Set in the 1940s, during WWII, it’s an instant win in my book. I’m not usually one to go for superhero movies, but I had to see this one (mostly on account of the era ;). Bright red lip stick, leather jackets, the dresses?! Who wouldn’t love it? :D

Open on Steve Rodgers (Chris Evans did an amazing job). Steve is determined, compassionate, and totally self-sacrificing–perfect superhero material. But he starts out as the computer generated “little guy”.
“Why someone weak? Because a weak man knows the value of strength, the value of power.”

Enter awesome German doctor with his procedure.

Turning little Steve Rogers into a “super-soldier”.

Same bighearted Steve, but no more little scrawny guy.

Cape? Not for this superhero, just a dirty leather jacket and a helmet.

But then he has to go and lose the jacket and helmet for this. What is that hat anyway? The helmet was a better look…

There we go.

Then we have the sidekick, Bucky (Sebastian Stan)…

The girl, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell)…

Colonel Phillips (Tommy Lee Jones)…

Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), who’s apparently Iron Man’s dad…my brothers had to explain that bit to me (told you I was’t a superhero person). :P

And the loyal fighters.

We can’t forget the Steve and Peggy romance.

But–if you’ve seen it–there’s the sad scene. I loved that scene. *sniffs*
And that’s it! If you haven’t seen it, I highly suggest you do. :D

I admit I’m not that great with intros, I always have the most trouble beginning my posts. But, I really do like writing (when I can write whatever I want. ;)…so it’s a wonder that I don’t post more often. So, with the ‘Tangled’ soundtrack playing and a cup of chai tea sitting on the desk, I begin…I’ll probably just end up running off on random tangents. Well then.
